SkyVision WALK-ON – the walk-on glass
Glass floors for terraces, roof terraces and green roofs
Walk-on glass doesn’t just look good, it’s extremely practical, as it provides daylight and more accessible space all in one – for instance as light well glazing. The sensation of walking on glass is indescribable.
The glass floor consists of special three-layer glass, which is designed for loads of up to 500 kg/m², with an anti-slip screen print ensuring safety. If required, opal lamination is available to provide privacy.
The walk-on floor glazing can be designed as a continuous strip using LINEAR WALK-ON modules, thus providing a very high light yield for the rooms below.
The window modules and substructures are delivered ready for installation and can be installed by GLASOLUX fitters, if required.
Walk-on glass floors indoors
SkyVision WALK-ON allows rooms where daylight windows are impossible for structural reasons to be lit by daylight from the room above, in which case the glass does not have to be insulated and can therefore cost less, allowing stairwells and bathrooms without windows to enjoy daylight.
Tip: WALK-ON modules are also available as walk-on, round design skylights, as walk-on continuous rooflights and as free-form flat roof skylights in any shape you want.

Glazing
- High-quality double and triple glazing in accordance with DIN 18008-2.
- All panes have a 115 mm wide, black silk-screen printed edge that runs around all sides to provide UV protection. The glass support is supplied in RAL 7043 (Traffic Grey B). The inside of the substructure is RAL 9010 (Pure White). Other RAL Classic colours are also available at an additional charge.
- The roof glazing is supplied with double or triple energy-saving glazing filled with argon and with “warm edge” spacer profiles.
- The outer layer of the roof glazing is tempered safety glass, the inner layer is laminated safety glass.
- The glass is also available with opal lamination (at an additional charge), although this reduces the values to approx. 57 % for light transmission (tL) and approx. 35 % for total energy transmission (g), or to approx 51 % (tL) and 30% (g) with triple glazing.
Certification
SkyVision has the CE mark in accordance with DS/EN 14351- 1. The CE mark was awarded by the accredited institutes Teknologisk Institut and Delta and refers to tests performed in accordance with EN 1873, DS/EN ISO 717- 1, EN/ISO 10077- 1 and -2, EN 673, DS 418, EN 12207 and EN 1026.Warranty
