VELUX Modular Skylight – Wall-mounted Longlight 5°– 45°

Connect different building heights and add daylight to rooms

Wall-mounted Longlights (5°– 45°) allow different ceiling heights to be the joined and simultaneously lets daylight and fresh air into the rooms below it. When installed at up to 45°, the Wall-mounted Longlights add vertical space to the room.

Wall-mounted Longlights can be mounted between a flat or sloped roof as the base and a vertical wall.

We make the sub-constructions needed for installation and also offer a complete fitting service together with the VMS modules by the GLASOLUX installation team.

Minimum dimensions required
Module width: 675 – 1000 mm
Module height: 600 – 3000 mm
Roof opening width for fixed modules: 600 – 3200 mm
Roof opening width for opening modules: 800 – 2600 mm
Installation angle of the skylight system: 5°– 45°
Opening casement:
Modules: alternate modules can be opened by an integrated chain actuator
Ventilation module:        The ventilation module opens up to 410 mm. Ventilation can be opened by an integrated chain actuator.
Smoke venting module: The smoke venting module opens up to 700 mm in under 60 seconds.  Smoke venting can only be controlled by a building management system.
Please note: Electrically operated venting modules have a recommended minimum installation height of 2.5 m above floor. If installed with less than 2.5 m clearance, appropriate safety measures must be applied by the installer/user to prevent serious injury.

Double- or triple-glazed insulating glass

  • Insulating glass (Ug values up to 0.5 W (m2/K))
  • Tempered outer pane
  • Laminated safety glass on the inner side
  • Protection against falling glass
  • Sound insulation (traffic, rain and hail)
  • “Warm edge” spacer (protects insulation performance over time and minimises the risk of condensation on the edges of the pane)
  • Step glass (drains water away from the pane)
  • Solar control coating (optional)
